Long Day Ahead

Well, I'm looking at two tests, lab, and a homework due tomorrow. Not all of it is extremely hard, it's just that it's all at once. I've put in a good bit of study time for the exams, so hopefully those will go well. The homework is going to be the toughest thing today. Just by the nature of Transfer Science, it's difficult. I've also managed to misplace my copy of the homework, so I'll have to copy someone else's during the day.

I did manage to have some good times this weekend, so I'm charged and ready for this short week.

I think...

Nightwish

Well, the title sorta has a double meaning.

First Meaning

If you read my last entry, you'll know that I met an absolutely amazing young lady the other day. Due to some random happenstance, we had meant to attend Church together and (thanks to bad telephone service) completely missed each other. That was yesterday, and I called later to see if she wanted to do something later that evening. However, she already had other plans. Sad day! Well, my wish, hope, and prayer this night is that we won't miss each other next time!

For right now, we are going to try going to Church together again next Sunday. I had to cancel other plans because I forgot that my Dad's birthday party is this weekend! Oh well and partytime!

Second Meaning

Well, I'll give you a dollar if you guess this one out of thin air!

Lately, I've discovered a really awesome internet radio site: pandora.com. They call themselves the "Music Genome Project." Which basically means that you start on something you know like, and based on that, the site plays music that is similar by other bands. You tell it if you like it or not, and it comes back with more music by the original artist and others similar to the original. You can create multiple stations (I'm sitting on around 10 right now) and listen to one, or you can mix them with their quickmix feature.

I started with one station centered around Evanescence. It's been a while since I've heard anything from them. Through Pandora, I've found several other bands with their style from all over! One of those bands being Nightwish. Others include Epica, DragonForce, Edenbridge, Nickelback, and Breaking Benjamin. I've never really been a big music buff, but I highly recommend this site!

Last thing about the site, you can also see to what your friends are listening and share radio stations! You just have to know the person's email address. I personally added people through their handy friend fetcher. When you're going to add friends when you first make a profile for pandora, it allows you to tell it your email and password (no it doesn't store it and it does use a secure connection as far as I know or could gather from talking to their support staff) and then it will fetch your address book and see if anyone is using pandora and add them to your friends list.

Getting Ready for Church and What a Weekend!

Well, I usually attend the service at Stevens Street Baptist Church on Sunday, but I'm going to try going to a new church today: The River Community Church. It seems to be a lot more like my home church of ROCC, and I'm excited to go!

I'm also just coming off of what has been a great weekend so far! It's been really relaxing, and I met a couple of new friends. I think I also might have a bit of a romantic interest in someone that I met. She's an EE, and she is definitely a gEEk. We had a good ole time playing Settlers of Catan, and there was some chemistry. We definitely share some interests like gaming, anime, and Christ. What more could a guy want! Cross your fingers!

Night Shift

Never will I again resign to working night shift in the computer labs. It is slow, and it cuts into my already limited free time and extra homework time. Unfortunately (although I've them 10 times now), my group has scheduled another meeting to do the group homework tonight and I can't go. I know we have to get it done, but could we have tried yesterday or tomorrow even?

Let's Talk Bleach

Okay, for those that don't know, I like anime. What is anime? Basically, Japanese cartoons. They just happen to be really well drawn. They make them for all sorts of age groups, and I like a few from each. So, what am I currently watching? The answer: Bleach.

Bleach is basically the story of a boy who finds out that he has some strange powers, and when his friend is arrested and sentenced to death for saving his life, he launches himself into a completely different world where his new powers are put to the ultimate test as he tries to save his friend. All in all, a little fighting, a little romance, a little comedy, and a whole lot fun.

Why is it called bleach? Don't really know to be honest, and it doesn't really matter. It's a good half hour out of my week to watch the latest episode, and it's something that I like. For those of you that like anime, I would highly recommend this one.

Up WAY Too Late

Well, it's something like 5 am, and I'm just not all that tired. I spent the past few hours hanging out with my old roommate playing Little Big Planet. Basically, it's a platformer on the PS3 that's has a level editor and sharing via the internet. I'll admit that it's fun, for about 2 hours. After that, it gets repetitive. The level editor seems to be really clunky as well, so I'm not personally excited about it.

I'll try to sleep some, but I'll probably be in bed until sometime around noon.
