Well, I'm looking at two tests, lab, and a homework due tomorrow. Not all of it is extremely hard, it's just that it's all at once. I've put in a good bit of study time for the exams, so hopefully those will go well. The homework is going to be the toughest thing today. Just by the nature of Transfer Science, it's difficult. I've also managed to misplace my copy of the homework, so I'll have to copy someone else's during the day.
I did manage to have some good times this weekend, so I'm charged and ready for this short week.
I think...

Nightwish
Well, the title sorta has a double meaning.
First Meaning
If you read my last entry, you'll know that I met an absolutely amazing young lady the other day. Due to some random happenstance, we had meant to attend Church together and (thanks to bad telephone service) completely missed each other. That was yesterday, and I called later to see if she wanted to do something later that evening. However, she already had other plans. Sad day! Well, my wish, hope, and prayer this night is that we won't miss each other next time!
For right now, we are going to try going to Church together again next Sunday. I had to cancel other plans because I forgot that my Dad's birthday party is this weekend! Oh well and partytime!
Second Meaning
Well, I'll give you a dollar if you guess this one out of thin air!
Lately, I've discovered a really awesome internet radio site: pandora.com. They call themselves the "Music Genome Project." Which basically means that you start on something you know like, and based on that, the site plays music that is similar by other bands. You tell it if you like it or not, and it comes back with more music by the original artist and others similar to the original. You can create multiple stations (I'm sitting on around 10 right now) and listen to one, or you can mix them with their quickmix feature.
I started with one station centered around Evanescence. It's been a while since I've heard anything from them. Through Pandora, I've found several other bands with their style from all over! One of those bands being Nightwish. Others include Epica, DragonForce, Edenbridge, Nickelback, and Breaking Benjamin. I've never really been a big music buff, but I highly recommend this site!
Last thing about the site, you can also see to what your friends are listening and share radio stations! You just have to know the person's email address. I personally added people through their handy friend fetcher. When you're going to add friends when you first make a profile for pandora, it allows you to tell it your email and password (no it doesn't store it and it does use a secure connection as far as I know or could gather from talking to their support staff) and then it will fetch your address book and see if anyone is using pandora and add them to your friends list.

Getting Ready for Church and What a Weekend!
Well, I usually attend the service at Stevens Street Baptist Church on Sunday, but I'm going to try going to a new church today: The River Community Church. It seems to be a lot more like my home church of ROCC, and I'm excited to go!
I'm also just coming off of what has been a great weekend so far! It's been really relaxing, and I met a couple of new friends. I think I also might have a bit of a romantic interest in someone that I met. She's an EE, and she is definitely a gEEk. We had a good ole time playing Settlers of Catan, and there was some chemistry. We definitely share some interests like gaming, anime, and Christ. What more could a guy want! Cross your fingers!

Night Shift
Never will I again resign to working night shift in the computer labs. It is slow, and it cuts into my already limited free time and extra homework time. Unfortunately (although I've them 10 times now), my group has scheduled another meeting to do the group homework tonight and I can't go. I know we have to get it done, but could we have tried yesterday or tomorrow even?

Let's Talk Bleach
Okay, for those that don't know, I like anime. What is anime? Basically, Japanese cartoons. They just happen to be really well drawn. They make them for all sorts of age groups, and I like a few from each. So, what am I currently watching? The answer: Bleach.
Bleach is basically the story of a boy who finds out that he has some strange powers, and when his friend is arrested and sentenced to death for saving his life, he launches himself into a completely different world where his new powers are put to the ultimate test as he tries to save his friend. All in all, a little fighting, a little romance, a little comedy, and a whole lot fun.
Why is it called bleach? Don't really know to be honest, and it doesn't really matter. It's a good half hour out of my week to watch the latest episode, and it's something that I like. For those of you that like anime, I would highly recommend this one.

Up WAY Too Late
Well, it's something like 5 am, and I'm just not all that tired. I spent the past few hours hanging out with my old roommate playing Little Big Planet. Basically, it's a platformer on the PS3 that's has a level editor and sharing via the internet. I'll admit that it's fun, for about 2 hours. After that, it gets repetitive. The level editor seems to be really clunky as well, so I'm not personally excited about it.
I'll try to sleep some, but I'll probably be in bed until sometime around noon.

Day Winding Down
Well, today seemed to whiz right by. Out of the things that I needed to get done, I didn't get the make-up exam done, but I did reschedule that for early next week.
After that, I went to Transfer Science. Upon getting there, I found out that my group leader (who I now know is completely technologically challenged) somehow deleted our presentation. Well, what happened was the following:
1. He downloaded the file.
2. Worked on it.
3. Clicked save.
4. Logged off and went to lunch.
Looks correct, right? Well, here's my commentary:
1. He downloaded to his Temporary Files folder, like Internet Explorer is defaulted to do (that's bad by the way!) and his "active" folder is now the Temporary Files folder.
2. No problems here other than he was doing it 2 hours before class was starting.
3. He didn't click Save As which lets him name the file, tell it where to save, etc. SO, it got saved to his "active" folder.
4. Your Temporary Files are deleted whenever you log off...'nuff said.
Well, our professor was really cool about it, and he'll let us present next Thursday.
Now, I'm out for the day, and I'm really torn as to whether I should play on my Wii or my computer for a while... Let's consider the game choice then: Mass Effect or Star Wars: The Force Unleashed? Well, I'm a complete Star Wars nerd, but I also really enjoy a good RPG. Ugh, I'm torn...I'll go back to Mass Effect. I guess I should be glad I'm not addicted to Travian anymore, I have so much more free time than usual.
Although, I should do some Differential Equations homework since we have a quiz tomorrow...stupid conscience...here I come math.

Beginnings
Well, I've never truly had a blog before, and I've lately felt the need to keep a journal or something similar. I hate Xanga, and Facebook doesn't really cut it. Thus, blog.
The plan for this blog? Simply a record of my days and life and my thoughts relating to them. Will all of it be true? Only as true as I believe it be, and I've sold myself some pretty big lies in the past. We'll just assume that it's all true.
I'm sure my posts will vary from day to day on format, topic, style, and many things besides. Hopefully, there will be some loyal readers out there.
So, we'll start with an introduction of me. Who am I? What drives me? What am I like? I'm sure we'll learn several of those things together, as I don't always know myself as well as I would like.
My name is Eric, and I will sign everything as Wolfos. That being a nickname that has several meanings to it, which might be explored at some point.
I'm a Christian. I'm also really getting to the point of struggling with myself over my faith. Why do I believe? Am I really good enough to be saved? Why would God want me? At this point, I'm working on reconciling several important issues within myself.
At this moment, I am a Junior Chemical Engineering student at TTU. I'm in an apartment close to campus, and I have two roommates. I am have just recently turned 20, so you can do the thinking to realize that I'm young for where I am in life.
I have no girlfriend to speak of, and I am not actively searching for one at the moment.
You'll also notice that I like good grammar, spelling, and punctaution, and I will do my best to maintain that on my blog as a courtesy to any readers.
I am an avid Jack of all Trades. My many interests will become apparent as I write more and more here on the blog.
I have a sense of humor, though it doesn't always come through in my writing.
I'm a XXXX personality type (google MBTI personality test), and I'm not sure what to do with that. I scored less than 10 from the center of all the personality types when I've taken it.
I don't make friends easily, and thus have few that I would call close friends. I also have a habit of moving past old friends to new friends (and my old friends usually seem content to let me go).
Well, that's enough of an introduction, feeble though it is really. But, on to the main event! Let's try and write what today has been like.
Well, my day started late. It actually started somewhere around twelve-thirty this afternoon. That means that I missed all my classes for the day. Now why was that? First, I was up until somewhere around 5 am the previous night reading a book (Shadow Puppets, more later) and decided that I should try and sleep a couple hours before class. HA! Despite having two alarms set, I slept through them both and slept soundly through the morning.
Well, having missed all classes, I resumed reading Shadow Puppets by Orson Scott Card and finished it within an hour or so. Then, I began the sequel: Shadow of the Giant. Having now read every book in the Ender series, I look back over the questions posed by Card and have only my own convictions to offer as answers. At the risk of spoiling the books for those who have not yet read them, I will only say that I hope to see Bean's story concluded and that Peter wasn't so bad after all (he was actually the best I could have hoped for).
In the middle of the Shadow of the Giant, I got a call from Josh W. He's a fellow ChemE (Chemical Engineer), and he's in several of my courses this year. Our group for Transfer Science I was meeting to work on our presentation, and I needed to head over. So, I quickly showered, dressed, and headed out. We got a fair amount of work done on it, but we'll be finishing it in the morning.
During the meeting, I learned that the Organic Chemistry lab was only going to be open for certain hours in the next couple of days for make-up labs. Readers should now that I needed to redo two past labs. To make the Thursday session, I'll have to miss my Transfer course at noon and settle for attending Transfer's second session only (it meets twice on Thursdays). Fingers crossed for getting both done at once, but I'll probably have to beg for another session Friday afternoon.
Well, after that, Josh and I ended up at a local social club (not a restuarant, so you can smoke!) called Cosmo's for their infamous wing night. While there, we also learned about a new way to play pool called Speed Pool. Basically, two people take turns sinking a 15 ball rack as quickly as they can. The person with the lowest cumulative time wins. The average time for the game we saw was somewhere around 1 minute and 5 seconds; that's fast! The best time was a mind-blowing 46 seconds. All I can say is wow.
After that, I came back here and finished the Shadow of the Giant. Then, I pondered what I needed to do and wanted to do. If there's one thing I'm noticing about myself lately, it's that I'm becoming very melancholy and even depressed when left alone. That's only recent, and I'm not entirely sure why I feel that way. Who knows? Maybe writing stuff down will help me figure it out. That is one of the reasons for this blog. Anyway, back to the story.
Things that I have going tomorrow:
1. Make-up exam + possible quizzes for Organic Chemistry at 8 am.
2. Make-up labs at noon.
3. Presentation for Transfer Science.
4. Figure out what happened in Differential Equations (Diff Eqns) from Hayden.
Well, it's only getting later, and I have to get my prelabs done for tomorrow. Here's hoping that it all goes smoothly and quickly!
